Job summary

Job Pathways is seeking a Community Projects Officer in Kununurra, WA to lead and supervise job seekers in community project activities, helping them build practical skills and confidence for future employment. You will work with local stakeholders to design projects reflecting community priorities and ensure participants are engaged in meaningful, skill-building tasks.

You will mentor participants, encourage strong workplace communication, and manage resources while complying with safety

Qualifications

Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to motivate others.
Experience in planning, organisation, and working independently or as part of a team.
A passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and promoting positive community outcomes.
Ability to obtain a National Police Check (essential).
Experience working with Indigenous Australians and organisations in rural/remote communities (preferred).

Responsibilities

Oversee community projects ensuring participants are engaged in safe, productive, and skill-building tasks.
Encourage and motivate participants, supporting them in developing workplace communication and behaviours.
Assist in managing tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with local organisations and community members to develop projects aligned with community needs.
