We are seeking a Local Community Connector to join our Federal government client in a community-focused role supporting individuals to access services, community supports and appropriate pathways.

This is an Identified position with a strong focus on working respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

The Role

• Work with individuals, communities and service providers to gather information and support access to appropriate services.
• Build strong, culturally respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Role Requirements

• Travel to regional and remote locations, including overnight stays.
• Visiting external locations and individuals' homes.
• Driving long distances, including on unsealed roads.
• Working across uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.
• High levels of face-to-face and telephone-based engagement.

A current driver's licence is required.

The successful candidate will also be required to obtain and maintain relevant employment and security clearances, including Working with Children/Vulnerable Persons and relevant worker screening checks.
