Job summary

Summit Health Solutions ACT Pty LTd is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Canberra team. You will work in community settings across Canberra, focusing on home safety, equipment prescription and assistive technology to help clients remain independent.

We support clinicians with admin tasks; your role emphasizes clinical reasoning, person-centred assessments and timely reporting. Both early-career and experienced OTs are encouraged to apply, with flexible full-time or part-time options

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in the community while remaining connected to your team.
• A person-centred approach to assessment and intervention.
• Commitment to quality documentation and professional practice.
• NDIS experience is desirable, particularly if you've worked with functional assessments, equipment or home modifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and home safety assessments.
• Perform home modification assessments and recommendations.
• Assess assistive technology and equipment; trials and prescriptions.
• Assess falls risk and environmental safety.
• Perform ADL and functional independence assessments.
• Deliver therapy and reablement-based sessions.
• Prepare clinical reports and funding recommendations.
• Follow up on equipment and home modification needs.
