Job description

Seed Ability is a multidisciplinary allied health practice providing Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Allied Health Assistant services across regional Victoria and New South Wales.

Located in the heart of Swan Hill, a beautiful riverside town with rich heritage, vibrant culture, and picturesque landscapes, Seed Ability offers an exceptional place to live and work – perfect for both individuals and families.

Our purpose is simple: to enhance the client experience and help people live their best lives.

Everything we do is guided by one philosophy - Nurture to Thrive.

We nurture our clients to achieve their goals, support families and carers with confidence, and invest in clinicians to build meaningful, rewarding careers.

We believe "Nurture to Thrive" applies just as much to our team as it does to the people we support. That's why we invest not only in developing exceptional Occupational Therapists, but also in developing self-aware, resilient and emotionally intelligent people who build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference.

At Seed Ability, you'll be surrounded by people who are passionate about making a difference, committed to lifelong learning and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day.

About the Opportunity

This is a genuinely diverse community Occupational Therapy role where no two days are the same.

You'll work with adults and older people across a broad range of clinical presentations, supporting them to maximise their independence, safety and participation in the activities that matter most.

Working across multiple funding streams - including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Support at Home, Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), Transport Accident Commission (TAC), WorkSafe Victoria and private services- you'll have the opportunity to develop a broad and rewarding skill set while making a real difference in your local community.

Whether you're passionate about rehabilitation, neurological conditions, assistive technology, home modifications or helping older people remain safely in their own homes, you'll have opportunities to grow your expertise and build a career that's tailored to your interests.

Your role will be shaped around your experience, strengths and career goals - and we'll support you every step of the way.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days at Seed Ability are exactly the same, but depending on your experience and career stage, your role may include:

  • Completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs).
  • Conducting Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments.
  • Completing home safety assessments.
  • Assessing, prescribing and reviewing Assistive Technology.
  • Completing home modification assessments and recommendations.
  • Supporting adults following injury, illness or changes in function.
  • Providing neurological rehabilitation and community-based rehabilitation.
  • Supporting people to remain living safely and independently in their own homes.
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, support coordinators, case managers, builders, healthcare providers and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Preparing high-quality reports and recommendations.
  • Participating in supervision, multidisciplinary case discussions and ongoing professional development.
  • Contributing to service development, mentoring and leadership opportunities as your career progresses.
Diverse Clinical Opportunities

One of the things our Occupational Therapists value most is the variety of work they do.

Rather than working within a single funding model, you'll gain experience across a broad range of services including:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
  • WorkSafe Victoria
