Job description

Seed Ability is a multidisciplinary allied health practice providing Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Allied Health Assistant services to children and families across regional Victoria and New South Wales.

Located in the heart of Swan Hill, a beautiful riverside town with rich heritage, vibrant culture, and picturesque landscapes, Seed Ability offers an exceptional place to live and work – perfect for both individuals and families.

Our purpose is simple: to enhance the client experience and help people live their best lives.

Everything we do is guided by one philosophy - Nurture to Thrive. We nurture children to reach their potential, families to feel supported and empowered, and clinicians to build meaningful, rewarding careers. We believe "Nurture to Thrive" applies just as much to our team as it does to the children and families we support. That's why we invest not only in developing exceptional Occupational Therapists, but also in developing self-aware, resilient and emotionally intelligent people who can build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference.

At Seed Ability, you'll be surrounded by people who are passionate about making a difference, committed to lifelong learning and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day.

About the Opportunity

As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you'll work with children and families across a diverse caseload, delivering evidence-based assessment, intervention and education that creates meaningful change in everyday life.

You’ll collaborate closely with Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, educators and our administration team to provide holistic, family-centred care.

Your role will be tailored to your experience, strengths and career goals.

Whether you're developing confidence as a graduate, refining your clinical expertise, developing an area of special interest or stepping into leadership, we’ll support you every step of the way.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days at Seed Ability are exactly the same, but depending on your experience and career stage, your role may include:

  • Completing functional, developmental and sensory assessments for children across a wide range of presentations.
  • Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy intervention to support participation in everyday activities at home, school and within the community.
  • Supporting children to develop independence in self-care, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, sensory processing, play and school participation.
  • Coaching parents, carers and educators to build confidence and carry therapy strategies into everyday routines.
  • Working collaboratively with Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, educators, GPs and other professionals.
  • Writing reports and recommendations for families, schools, kindergartens, NDIS and other funding bodies.
  • Participating in regular supervision, multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical education.
  • Contributing to service development, mentoring or leadership opportunities as your career progresses.
  • Continuing to develop your clinical knowledge and pursue areas of professional interest.
A Career That Grows With You

At Seed Ability, we believe your career should continue to evolve long after graduation.

That’s why we’ve developed a structured Career Progression Roadmap designed to support clinicians throughout every stage of their journey.

As you grow, your supervision, professional development, autonomy, leadership opportunities and remuneration grow alongside you.

Whether your goal is to become an exceptional clinician, develop an area of clinical expertise or lead and inspire others, we’ll help you get there.

Support That Grows With You

No matter where you are in your career, you’ll receive the support you need to continue learning and growing.

Graduate & Early Career Clinicians

You’ll be supported through our structured onboarding and development program designed to help you feel confident from day one.

This includes:

  • Comprehensive induction and gradual caseload build-up.
  • Weekly individual clinical supervision.
  • External supervision with experienced Occupational Therapists from across Australia.
  • Weekly multidisciplinary case discussions.
  • Internal clinical education calendar.
  • Peer learning opportunities.
  • Ongoing mentoring from experienced clinicians.

Our goal isn’t to expect you to know everything - it’s to provide the support, guidance and opportunities you need to become a confident and capable clinician.

As your career progresses, so does the support available to you.

You’ll have opportunities to:

  • Develop advanced clinical skills.
  • Mentor and supervise graduates and early career clinicians.
  • Participate in leadership coaching.
  • Develop clinical areas of special interest.
  • Lead service development and quality improvement projects.
  • Shape the future direction of Seed Ability.

Our philosophy is simple - we never stop investing in our people. Whether you’re in your first year of practice or your fifteenth, there is always another opportunity to learn, grow and make an even greater impact.

You'll Thrive at Seed If You...

We’re looking for people who genuinely care about making a difference.

The people who thrive at Seed Ability are those who:

  • Are passionate about helping children and families thrive.
  • Build genuine relationships based on trust, empathy and respect.
  • Love learning and continually seek opportunities to grow.
  • Welcome feedback because they know it helps them become even better clinicians.
  • Work collaboratively and celebrate the success of others.
  • Bring positivity, kindness and energy to their team every day.
  • Take initiative and look for solutions.
  • Value quality over ticking boxes.
  • Believe that personal growth is just as important as professional growth and are committed to continually developing their communication, emotional intelligence and self‑awareness.
  • Want to build a long‑term career where they can continue learning, developing and making an impact.

Whether you’re a graduate or an experienced clinician, if these qualities sound like you, we’d love to meet you.

Professional & Personal Development

We’re committed to helping you become the best clinician you can be.

You’ll receive:

  • An annual professional development contribution starting from $2,500.
  • Weekly clinical supervision.
  • External supervision with leading Speech Pathologists from across Australia.
  • An internal clinical education calendar.
  • Multidisciplinary case reviews and peer learning.
  • Leadership coaching and mentoring opportunities.

Our investment in your development extends beyond clinical education. You’ll also have access to learning opportunities that strengthen emotional intelligence, communication, reflective practice, resilience and leadership. We believe these skills help us build stronger relationships with children, families, colleagues and our community - and ultimately become better clinicians and better people.

A supportive multidisciplinary team

You’ll be surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you succeed.

Our clinicians collaborate, celebrate each other’s successes, share ideas and support one another through challenges. We believe the best outcomes for children happen when clinicians feel connected, supported and valued.

Flexibility that supports your life

Life doesn’t stop when you come to work.

We understand that everyone has commitments outside the clinic, so wherever possible we offer flexible working arrangements that help you balance your career, family and personal life.

Quality over KPIs

We believe exceptional therapy comes from clinicians who have the time and support to do their best work.

That’s why our focus is on quality outcomes, meaningful relationships and clinical excellence - not unrealistic billable targets.

The little things that make a big difference

Some of our favourite benefits are the ones that simply make work a little more enjoyable.

  • Competitive salary package - From $80,000-$120,000 plus superannuation, depending on your experience and career stage.
  • Annual salary reviews - Because your growth should be recognised as your career progresses.
  • Birthday leave - We think birthdays should be spent celebrating with the people who matter most, not sitting at your desk.
  • Paid parental leave - Supporting you and your family through life's important milestones.
  • Employee Assistance Program - Confidential support whenever you need it.
  • Full administrative support - So you can spend more time doing what you love: helping children and families.
  • Modern clinics and quality resources - We invest in our environments because they matter for both our team and our clients.
  • Team‑building days and social events - From movie nights and golf days to team celebrations, we genuinely enjoy spending time together.

Above all, you’ll join a workplace that believes investing in its people is the best investment it can make. When our team grows, our clients benefit - and that’s what Seed Ability is all about.

What Success Looks Like

When you join Seed Ability, our goal isn’t simply to help you settle into a new job.

Our goal is to help you build a career you’ll be proud of.

After your first 12 months with us, we hope you’ll have:

  • Built meaningful relationships with children and families.
  • Grown in confidence and clinical capability.
  • Developed strong connections with your teammates and mentors.
  • Continued progressing along your Career Progression Roadmap.
  • Discovered new areas of professional interest.
  • Felt proud of the positive impact you’ve made within your community.

At Seed Ability, we believe you should always know what the next step in your career looks like.

Our Career Progression Roadmap outlines each stage of your journey - from New Graduate through to Team Leader - including the expectations, support, supervision, professional development and opportunities available at every level.

It’s designed to provide clarity, direction and confidence as your career evolves.

Ask us for a copy of our Career Progression Roadmap when you apply or at your interview. We’d love to walk you through it.

The people who know Seed Ability best are the people who work here.
