Aveo Peninsula Gardens Retirement Living seeks a Community Manager to lead day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional resident service and financial performance. You will oversee facilities, safety, and culture while guiding a large team and collaborating with internal and external partners.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a focus on resident satisfaction with a proven track record in hospitality, hotel, or retirement living environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing operations or general manager role in hospitality or retirement living.
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, P&L awareness and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to improve resident satisfaction and operations efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and lead village operations, including compliance, safety, facilities management, and resident culture.
• Promote open communication, professionalism and regular resident connection across the community.
• Oversee and present budgets with internal finance partners and residents.
• Collaborate with on-site maintenance, external contractors and Aveo Facilities team to improve facilities and grounds.
• Demonstrate recruitment, onboarding, rostering and performance management of department staff.
• Make sound decisions, manage conflict and comply with DoA and safety obligations.
• Partner with internal teams (Facilities, Operations, Care, Marketing, Legal, Sales, Risk) to support residents.
