Job summary

Eureka Group is seeking a Kitchen Hand at our Hervey Bay village to support the Chef and village team in delivering home-style meals in a clean, safe kitchen environment. You’ll work five hours per day, Sunday to Thursday, for a total of 25 hours per week.

Reporting to the Village Manager, you’ll help keep the kitchen running smoothly and contribute to residents’ wellbeing through a friendly, welcoming service.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, hospitality or cleaning is desirable.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safe handling is important.
• Reliable, organised and able to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with meal preparation and service.
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitise food prep and dining areas.
• Support safe storage, labelling and rotation of food.
• Follow food safety, WHS and chemical handling procedures.
• Engage positively with residents and contribute to a welcoming village environment.
