Eureka Villages is hiring a Kitchen Hand at our Cairns village to support the Chef and village team. You’ll help prepare meals, keep the kitchen clean, safe and welcoming for residents, and contribute to nutritious, home-style meals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen, hospitality or cleaning environment.
• Understand the importance of food hygiene, safe food handling and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Hold a Food Handling Certificate, or are willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Chef with meal preparation and service
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning and sanitising food preparation and dining areas
• Supporting the safe storage, labelling and rotation of food
• Following food safety, WHS and chemical handling procedures
• Engaging positively and respectfully with residents and contributing to a welcoming village environment
