Job summary

CDC is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist based in Canberra to manage local engagement with host communities across metropolitan and regional areas. You will build trusted relationships with residents, councils and other stakeholders to support planning and operations.

Responsibilities include listening, consulting, and closed-loop feedback; gathering community intelligence; and contributing to CDC's engagement strategy and assurance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in community engagement or external affairs.
• Experience delivering engagement for infrastructure or regulated sectors.
• Practical knowledge of IAP2 spectrum and closed-loop feedback.
• Willingness to travel across metropolitan and regional areas.

Responsibilities

• Act as CDC's local contact for host communities across metropolitan and regional areas.
• Run listening, consultation and two-way feedback in line with the IAP2 spectrum.
• Gather community intelligence and feed into CDC's traffic-light sentiment view.
• Contribute frontline insight to CDC's engagement strategy and standards.
• Help build repeatable engagement and benefit-sharing approaches for new sites.
