Job summary

Breakthru, part of the Royal Rehab Group, invites applications for a casual Community Disability Support Worker in Coonabarabran, NSW. You’ll support clients in the community and at home, helping with daily living, social activities, and independence.

We seek reliable individuals with a respectful approach, willing to travel to Coonabarabran. Availability outside standard hours and commitment to safety and quality care are essential.

Qualifications

• Criminal record check (essential or willing to obtain)
• Working with children check (essential or willing to obtain)
• NDIS Workers screening clearance (essential or willing to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Accessing the community for shopping, appointments and day-to-day activities
• Participation in a range of scheduled activities such as cooking, art, outdoor physical activities and excursions
• Engagement in social events
• Transportation assistance where required
• Meal preparation and other simple in-home supports
• Responsible for all aspects of personal care
• Providing goal focused supports for activities, Programs, community supports
• In home supports
• Transport and travel
• Supports related to specific health needs
• Report writing including daily case notes
• Role promotes independence, dignity, and choice in a safe, structured environment

About The Role

We're seeking a casual team member to join our wonderful Coonabarabran team, someone who has open availability. With flexibility to adapt to the needs of the individuals we support.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Your role will go beyond daily care - you will be instrumental in promoting independence, dignity, and choice, while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment

Please note: Must have availability outside the hours of 9-3, must reside within travelling distance to Coonabarabran
