Job summary

Absolute Care & Health is seeking a Community Disability Support Worker to assist an NDIS participant in Mornington with in-home care, personal support, and community access. Training is provided for medication and other duties.

Role involves shifts including evenings and occasional weekends, with a focus on companionship, independence, and well-being within the participant's home environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate 4 in Disability (DSW) is required.
• 2 years experience in disability support or related field.
• Valid work rights in Australia.
• Current National Police Check.
• Employee Working with Children Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Full Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• In-home support for NDIS participants.
• Provide personal care and companion care.
• Assist with medication administration (training provided).
• Support with community access (via client’s vehicle).
• Assist with housekeeping and daily errands as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.

The Disability Support worker primarily supports Absolutes NDIS Participants to achieve their goals as set out within their NDIS plan. This also includes the provision of personal care, companion care, and community access.

We are currently recruiting for x2 DSW Community Support staff to provide in-home care services for a client in Mornington

Monday 6.30pm-8.30pm

• Tuesday 3:30pm-11:30pm
• Thursday 7:45am-3:45pm

Saturday 5.30-8.30pm

Active overnight 11.15pm-9.15am (One day during the week)

• Community access (Via client's van)
• Personal Care (Training provided)
• Medication (Training provided)
• Ped Feeding
• Assisting with housekeeping or other daily errands
• Providing companionship and emotional support

Essential for the role:

• Certificate 4 in Disability (DSW)
• 2 years expereince
• Valid work rights in Australia

• NDIS Workers Clearance Check
• Full Australian Drivers License
