Job summary

AHS Nursing Agency is seeking passionate and reliable Community/Disability Support Workers to join our friendly and growing team on a casual basis. If you're caring, energetic, and love making a positive difference in people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you!

You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS clients, assist with daily living, personal care, transport and community access, and plan outings and activities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• WWCC or willingness to obtain WWCC.
• First Aid & CPR certificates.
• Full Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS clients.
• Assist with daily living, personal care, domestic tasks, transport, and community access.
• Support clients attending appointments and engaging in social activities.
• Plan and accompany clients on outings and activities.
• Work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays (on-call flexibility required).
• Perform Disability Support Worker and AIN duties.

Requirements

• Must be open to accepting 2-hour services.
• Must be available on weekdays and weekends.
• Full Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Comprehensive car insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certificates.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or willing to obtain).

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Hands-on experience with manual handling/hoist.
• Experience with challenging behaviours.
• High-care/complex-care experience (PEG feeding and bowel care).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community connections.
• Physically capable of supporting regular outings and activities.

What You’ll Be Doing
