Job summary

Adon Care Services in Sydney, NSW seeks Disability Support Workers to deliver comprehensive care under the NDIS framework. You will assist with personal care, mobility, domestic tasks, transport, and community participation while upholding dignity and confidentiality.

The role is full time (38-40 hrs/week) with a focus on building independence, safeguarding, and culturally safe practice. Requires Cert III/IV in IS, First Aid/CPR, and relevant checks.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
• Understanding of NDIS principles and participant rights.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
• Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain.
• Valid police check.
• Valid driver’s licence and vehicle.
• COVID-19 vaccinations as per health orders.
• NDIS induction and safeguarding training.
• Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily personal care (showering, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility, transfers, eating and drinking.
• Provide transport to appointments and activities.
• Assist with domestic tasks and meal preparation.
• Support participation in day programs and community events.
• Record keeping and reporting to coordinators and managers.
• Adhere to WHS, infection control, and privacy policies.
• Recognise and report safeguarding concerns.
