Job summary

The Salvation Army Colac Corps is seeking a Community Care Administrator to be the welcoming first point of contact and to provide essential administration across community programs. This permanent, part-time role offers 12 hours a week on site in Colac, VIC, reporting to the Community Care Team Leader.

You will support enquiries, intake, bookings, referrals, and maintain accurate records, while coordinating volunteer administration and upholding privacy and safeguarding requirements in line

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital systems.

About the Role

As a Community Care Administrator, this is your opportunity to be the welcoming first point of contact for Colac Salvos Community Care while providing essential administration across key community programs. You'll help keep records, reporting and volunteer systems running smoothly, enabling the team to focus on ministry, pastoral care and community impact.

Reporting to the Community Care Team Leader, this is a permanent, part‑time role, offering 12 hours a week, based on site in Colac, VIC.

How you will make an impact

Be the welcoming first point of contact, providing a warm, professional experience for all visitors, callers, and community members.

Support individuals with enquiries, basic intake, appointment bookings, and connections to appropriate programs, team members, or external services. Provide reliable administrative support across Community Care programs, including appointments, referrals, correspondence, and documentation. Maintain accurate participant, program, and reporting records, ensuring information is up to date and completed within required timeframes.

Coordinate volunteer administration, including rosters, communications, onboarding documentation, and training records. Strengthen operational effectiveness by maintaining efficient administrative processes, safeguarding confidential information, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is required.

A current Working with Children Check is required. All compulsory training modules are completed and kept up to date.

A Current driver licence is desirable but not essential. The role works in accordance with Salvation Army privacy, safeguarding, work health and safety, professional-boundary and information-management requirements.

Conditions

Compensation is in accordance with Clerks Level 3.
