Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking an Administration Assistant to join the Queensland Divisional Headquarters in Spring Hill. You will provide a wide range of administrative services to the Division, supporting Area Officers, Corps Officers and staff, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and effective communication.

This role requires proactive organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated administration experience, with sound knowledge and practical skills relevant to the role.
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • A current driver’s licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administrative support, ensuring records, databases, files, and reports are maintained accurately and up to date.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, meetings, and event logistics for the Division.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of divisional communications, including newsletters, website content, and event calendars.
  • Act as a key contact for administrative enquiries and provide support to staff across the Division.
  • Support the planning and delivery of meetings, workshops, and events, both onsite and offsite.
  • Manage office resources and facilities, including supplies, shared equipment, room bookings, pool vehicles, and contractor coordination.
  • Provide reception relief as required, including handling enquiries, processing mail, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Work collaboratively within the team, sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to the smooth operation of divisional activities.

Position Title: Administration Assistant

Location: Spring Hill, QLD – Divisional Headquarters

Status: Full Time | Permanent

Classification: Clerks – Private Sector Level 3

Working Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Administration Assistant to join our team at the Queensland Divisional Headquarters in Spring Hill.
