Job summary

The Victorian Racing Club VRC – Flemington VIC is seeking a Corporate Communications and Public Relations Community Executive for Campaigns (MCC). The role supports the Community team in day-to-day activities surrounding MCC, including Pin & Win and the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour.

You will coordinate events, manage volunteer requirements, assist with Melbourne Cup Foundation activities, and prepare materials while ensuring compliance with VRC policies, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in an events management, or marketing role with exposure to the events, fundraising and/or sports industry highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated networking ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Sound working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite, CMS and Adobe suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and management of Pin & Win including managing volunteer requirements with Ronald McDonald House Charities and ensuring adequate planning and resourcing is maintained across the MCC.
• Support other Community initiatives, including The Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour, where required.
• Support administrative needs required for the Melbourne Cup Foundation activity.
• Organisation of support materials and collateral for events, activities, and activations.
• Ensure all activities are executed according to VRC policies and procedures, minimising all risks, and maximising commercial outcomes.
• Work within the Community team allocated budget and maintain accurate financial records for projects.
• Engage in a positive and professional manner with all VRC and external stakeholders, leading by example through behaviours aligned to the VRC values and strategy.
