Job summary

Westpac’s Smithton Service Centre is hiring a Personal Banking Advisor for a part-time, 16-hour-per-week role. You will greet customers, discuss financial needs, and offer tailored banking solutions both in-branch and by phone. The position emphasizes service excellence, teamwork, and opportunities to grow within the bank.

The role supports local communities across TAS, with training provided to equip you to assist customers and meet referral targets while delivering friendly, responsive service.

Qualifications

• Customer service and sales experience, ideally in a customer-facing role with targets.
• Resilience and calmness in challenging situations.
• Comfortable working toward sales/referral targets and calling customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers at the branch and engage in conversations to uncover needs and provide tailored banking solutions.
• Assist customers in-person and over the phone, referring to specialist Banking teams when needed.
• Handle financial transactions accurately and support cash handling procedures.
• Contribute to achieving sales/referral targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
