Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Personal Banking Advisor for a part-time, branch-based role at 80 King William St, Adelaide. The position runs 32.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 9am–4:30pm, with a focus on welcoming customers and offering tailored banking solutions.

You will use product knowledge to help customers achieve financial goals, both in person and by phone, with training and support from a collaborative team. No prior banking experience is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service and sales experience, ideally in a customer-facing / phone-based role with targets.
• Resilience, with an ability to remain calm and composed whilst managing challenging situations.
• Comfortable in working towards sales / referral targets and calling customers over the phone.
• Numerical capability, ideally with proficiency in cash handling and counting, with ability to complete financial transactions with accuracy.
• An energetic personality coupled with a genuine passion for helping people.
• The will to learn and adapt to new banking procedures and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Westpac and engage in meaningful conversations to uncover their needs and provide tailored banking solutions.
• Assist customers in achieving their financial goals – both in-person and over the phone – and refer them to specialised Banking teams when necessary.
• Be part of a branch-based team focused on delivering exceptional customer service and meeting sales targets.
