Coonamble Shire Council is seeking a creative communications professional to promote Council services, activities and events across print, digital, web and media platforms. The role focuses on planning and delivering proactive communications to inform and engage the community while upholding the Council’s reputation.

The successful candidate will bring strong customer service, experience in communications, and a good understanding of local government.

• Strong customer service skills and proven communications experience.
• Sound understanding of local government and public sector communications.
• Qualifications in Communications, Business Administration or related discipline are desirable.

• Salary range $70,717.40 + $81,864.20 Super
• Nine Day Fortnight
• Fixed Full-time position (Maternity Leave)

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated communications professional with a passion for delivering engaging and proactive communications. The role is responsible for promoting Council services, activities, and events across a variety of print, digital, web, and media platforms.

As part of a dynamic team, you will plan, coordinate, and implement marketing and communication strategies that effectively inform and engage the community while enhancing Council’s reputation and maintaining a positive public image.

The successful applicant will have strong customer service skills, demonstrated experience in communications, and a sound understanding of local government. Relevant qualifications in Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline are desirable; however, candidates with substantial practical experience and a proven track record will also be highly regarded.
