Join the Department of Transport and Main Roads as a Communications Advisor (Stakeholder Engagement) and help shape the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects across Southern Queensland.

We are recruiting through a single process to fill two permanent A05 positions: one based in Toowoomba and one based in Bundaberg. In this role, you'll provide strategic communication and stakeholder engagement advice, lead communication activities, manage stakeholder and reputational risks, and support project teams to deliver successful infrastructure outcomes.

Working closely with project teams, community stakeholders and government representatives, you'll develop communication strategies, coordinate engagement activities, create high-quality communication materials, and provide leadership and support to communication professionals.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is seeking Communications Advisors (Stakeholder Engagement) to join the Southern Queensland Region. This recruitment process will be used to fill two permanent A05 positions: one located in Toowoomba and one located in Bundaberg.

As part of Program Delivery and Operations, you'll provide professional communication and stakeholder engagement services that support the planning, delivery and operation of Queensland's transport infrastructure network. Working closely with project managers, technical specialists, contractors, government representatives and community stakeholders, you'll help ensure projects are supported by effective communication and engagement strategies that build trust, manage risk and foster positive stakeholder relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership, guidance and performance support to a small team of communication professionals and project teams to promote consistent communication and engagement practices.
