Job summary

Marble Group is seeking an experienced Commissioning Technician in Sydney to lead testing and commissioning of HVAC systems across major commercial projects. You will work with project managers, engineers, site teams and clients to ensure systems operate to specification.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience and strong fault-finding skills, with a solid understanding of commercial HVAC equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with HVAC commissioning.
• Solid understanding of commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
• Comfortable reading drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience working across larger commercial projects.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and testing of HVAC systems across major commercial projects.
• Carry out functional and performance testing of HVAC equipment.
• Identify faults, defects and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot and rectify commissioning issues.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with project and site teams throughout commissioning.
• Complete commissioning documentation, test results and reports.
• Assist with final testing, defect rectification and project handover.

We're working with a well-established HVAC contractor who is looking to add an experienced Commissioning Technician to their growing Sydney team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who has spent the last few years working across the commissioning of commercial HVAC systems and wants to be part of a reputable contractor with a strong project pipeline.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the testing and commissioning of HVAC systems across major commercial projects, working closely with Project Managers, engineers, site teams and clients to make sure systems are operating correctly and performing to specification.

Projects can include data centres, commercial buildings, residential towers, healthcare, shopping centres and other major developments.

What you'll be doing

• Commissioning and testing commercial HVAC systems
• Carrying out functional and performance testing of HVAC equipment
• Identifying faults, defects and performance issues
• Troubleshooting and rectifying commissioning issues
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics and specifications
• Working closely with project and site teams throughout commissioning
• Completing commissioning documentation, test results and reports
• Assisting with final testing, defect rectification and project handover
• Liaising with engineers, contractors, subcontractors and clients

What we're looking for
