Job summary

New Venture Recruitment is seeking a BMS Commissioning Technician in Sydney to join our growing building automation team. You will be hands-on with testing, commissioning and handover of BMS and HVAC control systems across commercial and critical projects.

Ideal candidates have BMS or controls experience, fault-finding skills and the ability to read electrical drawings. On-site work across Sydney with strong communication and problem-solving abilities is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in BMS, HVAC controls or building automation.
• Experience with commissioning, testing or fault finding.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and testing BMS and HVAC control systems
• Point-to-point testing and fault finding
• Testing sensors, actuators, controllers and field devices
• Assisting with BMS programming and system integration
• Working with protocols including BACnet, Modbus and TCP/IP
• Identifying and resolving commissioning issues
• Supporting project teams through testing and handover
• Completing commissioning documentation and reports
• Working closely with engineers, electricians, contractors and clients on site

Growing building automation specialist in Sydney that is looking to add a BMS Commissioning Technician to their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on BMS professional looking to build their commissioning experience, work across a range of commercial and critical building projects, and develop their career within the building automation industry.

The Role

As a BMS Commissioning Technician, you will be involved in the testing, commissioning and handover of BMS and HVAC control systems across a variety of projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Commissioning and testing BMS and HVAC control systems
• Point-to-point testing and fault finding
• Testing sensors, actuators, controllers and field devices
• Assisting with BMS programming and system integration
• Working with protocols including BACnet, Modbus and TCP/IP
• Identifying and resolving commissioning issues
• Supporting project teams through testing and handover
• Completing commissioning documentation and reports
• Working closely with engineers, electricians, contractors and clients on site

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in BMS, HVAC controls, electrical controls or building automation.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous BMS or controls experience
• Experience with commissioning, testing or fault finding
• Understanding of HVAC systems and controls
• Knowledge of BACnet and/or Modbus
• Strong electrical and controls fundamentals
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control schematics
• A willingness to work on site across Sydney
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
