NEXTDC is building Australia’s leading data centre platform, expanding across the Asia Pacific. This role leads the Factory Acceptance Testing program for electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring components meet specification before site delivery.

You will coordinate external commissioning agents and attend supplier facilities for first-of-kind assemblies. You will drive defect management, NCR resolution and risk reporting, with travel across domestic and occasional international sites as

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality assurance, factory inspection or commissioning in data centre or heavy electrical environments.
• Trade qualification or degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV switchboards, generators, UPS systems and transformers; able to read drawings and specs.
• Proven FAT witnessing experience and NCR/defect management with clear reporting.
• Experience engaging external commissioning agents or third party inspectors and willingness to travel.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain the FAT program across the project portfolio with defined scope and acceptance criteria.
• Review manufacturer test procedures, approve or comment in coordination with Engineering.
• Manage external commissioning agents and validate inspection reports before NEXTDC review.
• Attend manufacturer facilities for complex assemblies and first-of-a-kind equipment.
• Issue NCRs, track defects and report rectification progress and delivery risk.
• Monitor manufacturing schedules against construction programs and escalate risks early.
