Marina Tavern on Hamilton Island is recruiting a Commis Chef to join a fast-paced kitchen in the heart of Marina Village. You’ll support senior chefs, help with preparation and service, and build speed and confidence in a busy operation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)
• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Experience within a busy restaurant, bistro or similar environment
• Strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistency during high-volume service
• Good organisation, attention to detail and a strong team approach
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to continue developing as a chef

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes across your section and assist the brigade to maintain pace during high-volume service.
• Maintain mise en place and organisation to keep the kitchen moving and ensure consistency in quality.
