Job summary

Bommie Restaurant, located within Hamilton Island Yacht Club, is seeking a Commis Chef who is passionate about developing their craft in a premium kitchen environment. You will work hands-on, supporting your section and learning the techniques and presentation required for fine dining.

This role offers the chance to develop skills with Western European flavours and native Australian ingredients, under an experienced kitchen brigade, on Hamilton Island.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery required (Essential).
• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Interest in fine dining and modern cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work in the Bommie kitchen, supporting your section in prep and service.
• Learn techniques, presentation and attention to detail required in fine dining.
• Follow prep and plating instructions to Bommie standards.
