Port Macquarie Panthers is seeking a driven Commis Chef to kick start your culinary career in a fast-paced kitchen. You will support food preparation, cooking and presentation across busy dining operations while learning food safety, quality, and kitchen organisation in a supportive team.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in a busy kitchen, a Commercial Cookery qualification, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Commercial Cookery Trade Qualification.
• Previous function catering experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good physical fitness to handle lifting.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Passion for delivering great food service.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation, presentation and service to members and guests.
• Catering for functions and events.
• Stock takes and wastage recording.
• Accepting deliveries, checking stock and safe storage.
• Kitchen cleanliness and FIFO storage practices.
• Practice compliant food health and safety.
