Job summary

Redcape Hospitality's Eden Brewhouse is seeking a Casual Commis Chef to join its kitchen team in Southeast Queensland. Whether you're a qualified Commis Chef or an aspiring chef, this role offers hands-on learning, exposure to a modern kitchen, and growth within one of Australia’s leading hospitality groups.

You will assist with food preparation across all sections, maintain a clean, food-safe kitchen, and support the Head Chef during busy services.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen (Commis Chef or similar)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards it
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for cooking
• Grill experience essential
• Team player who learns and develops new skills
• Availability across weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and service across all kitchen sections
• Prepare and present quality meals to recipe and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen
• Work closely with the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
• Support the Head Chef and senior chefs with daily kitchen operations
