Job summary

The Comminution Technician at Weir will carry out repairs and maintenance on Weir HPGR, screens and cone crushers at customer sites and in the workshop, acting as a fitter and hands-on service technician while supporting APAC region client growth.

You will work across Perth and Port Hedland sites, perform fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and collaborate with the service team to improve reliability and reduce downtime, with a mix of field and workshop duties.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of technical/trade experience.
• Experience with heavy specialised equipment like HPGRs, crushers, hydraulics is preferred.
• Hydraulic knowledge is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Available for a mix of workshop and field work.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on Weir HPGR, screens, and cone crushers at customer sites and in the workshop.
• Provide hands-on site service and customer support; execute fault diagnosis and testing per scope of work.
• Collaborate with HPGR team and APAC clients to drive sustainable growth of the HPGR unit.
• Identify equipment improvements to reduce total cost of ownership for customers.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and meet service expectations.
