Job summary

Goal Indigenous Services seeks an experienced Commercial & Subcontracts Lead to oversee commercial and subcontract management across major transport infrastructure contracts.

You will manage contractual obligations, mitigate commercial risks, protect entitlements and ensure compliant, value-focused delivery across Service Stream and its supply chain, with hybrid working arrangements from Williamstown.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, contract or subcontract management.
• Industry experience in infrastructure, construction, electrical, transport, utilities or maintenance services.
• Knowledge of government or performance-based service contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract administration, compliance, variations, claims, work orders and commercial negotiations.
• Manage subcontractor agreements, onboarding, compliance, performance and commercial risk.
• Identify risks and opportunities, monitor KPIs and support commercial reporting and contract performance.
• Build strong client, supplier and operational relationships while maintaining accurate records and audit-ready documentation.

You will play a key role in managing contractual obligations, mitigating commercial risks, protecting contractual entitlements and ensuring compliant, value-focused delivery across Service Stream and its supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Oversee contract administration, compliance, variations, claims, work orders and commercial negotiations.
• Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor agreements, onboarding, compliance, performance and commercial risk.
• Commercial Risk & Performance: Identify risks and opportunities, monitor KPIs and support commercial reporting and contract performance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong client, supplier and operational relationships while maintaining accurate records and audit-ready documentation.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience in commercial, contract or subcontract management.
• Industry experience in infrastructure, construction, electrical, transport, utilities or maintenance services.
• Knowledge of government or performance-based service contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and written communication skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in commercial management, construction management, law, quantity surveying, business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
