Job summary

Beilby Downing Teal Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead for a major Western Australian mining project. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will shape the commercial foundations, lead tendering and contracting, and drive procurement, governance and risk management to support delivery.

In a lean owner's team, you will work with technical, project and operations stakeholders, negotiate high‑value contracts and ensure commercial strategies align with development objectives,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale mining, resources, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Strong expertise in contract development, procurement, negotiations and commercial risk management.
• Ability to build productive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic project environment and taking ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and execute procurement and contracting strategies for major project work packages
• Lead tendering, contract negotiations and ongoing contract administration activities
• Provide commercial guidance across project delivery, cost control, governance and risk management processes
• Manage contractor and supplier relationships while driving value and performance
• Support project teams in evaluating commercial opportunities, claims and contractual risks
