Job summary

Capstone Recruitment is representing a major Australian energy infrastructure group in Sydney seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst. You will partner with cost centre owners to deliver robust financial analysis, reporting and forecasting that informs strategic decisions and improves performance.

The role requires CA/CPA qualification, strong Excel modelling and experience with TM1, SAP or Power BI is highly regarded.

  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
  • Proven experience partnering with operational and senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to ambiguity.
  • Track record of influencing decisions and delivering business outcomes.

  • Provide financial analysis, reporting and forecasting to inform decisions.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear recommendations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
  • Contribute financial modelling and ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analysis processes.

The Role

Reporting into a Commercial Finance Manager, you’ll partner with corporate cost centre owners across the business to provide financial analysis, reporting and forecasting that genuinely informs decisions and impacts business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Partner directly with operational and senior stakeholders across corporate cost centres.
  • Provide financial analysis, reporting and forecasting that connects to broader business outcomes.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
