Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager for a large Australian organisation in Sydney. You will partner with senior leaders to influence commercial decisions and profitability, combining strategic finance with hands-on business partnering.

Your role covers budgeting, forecasting, model building and insightful commentary to steer performance. You'll lead analyses of revenue and costs, drive improvements and evaluate new investments in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in commercial finance or business partnering.
• Degree qualification in Finance or Commerce.
• CA/CPA or MBA desirable.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.
• Advanced Excel and systems/data skills.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

• Partner with senior Sales, Marketing and business leaders to drive performance
• Lead financial input into strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner or FP&A professional who enjoys getting close to the business and influencing outcomes.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• 5+ years' experience in commercial finance or business partnering
• Degree qualification in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• CA/CPA or MBA desirable
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability
• Advanced Excel and strong systems/data skills
• Excellent commercial and analytical thinking
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge and influence
• The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
