Job summary

ANSON Management Consulting Pty Ltd invites applications for a Perth-based Commercial Director to own the organisation's commercial strategy and drive revenue growth.

You will lead the Sales team, work with the Operations Director, expand market share with core customers, and diversify into new regions and markets across the APAC region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years commercial or sales leadership experience in industrial, mining services, steel or heavy equipment sectors.
• Proven track record in leading key accounts and new business development sales.
• Experience managing intermediaries and distributor or channel networks, ideally APAC.
• Strong negotiation and commercial contract management skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role
This newly created Commercial Director role owns the organisation's commercial strategy and revenue growth agenda — leading the Sales team, working closely with the Operations Director, growing market share with existing core customers and diversifying into new regions and markets. Through your team, you'll have responsibility for the growth of key strategic accounts and the outcomes of lead pricing and contract negotiations. You will also develop distributor and channel relationships in overseas markets. The business is primed for significant growth with many markets and related industry opportunities largely untouched to date and cross-sell opportunities available.

Our client is a Perth-based manufacturer of proprietary engineering solutions, primarily serving the mining sector across Asia Pacific. As a local success story, the business attracted the interest of a global leader in an aligned sector leading to an acquisition. The acquisition has resulted in a major funding, infrastructure and sales channels boost to the business that presents significant growth upside, particularly in overseas markets along with industries outside of mining.
About You

• 10+ years commercial or sales leadership experience within industrial, mining services, steel or heavy equipment sectors
• Demonstrated track record in leading both key account management and new business development sales
• Experience managing intermediaries and distributor or channel networks, ideally across APAC
• Strong negotiation and commercial contract management skills
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, ideally within a post-acquisition or integration environment
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field; MBA highly regarded
