Job summary

Haste Recruitment’s Burwood-based client, a well-established private building surveying firm, seeks a Building Surveyor or Commercial Building Code Consultant to join the team and grow within a supportive, professional environment.

The role covers commercial building surveying, NCC compliance, report writing and liaison with clients, consultants and authorities, with registration support and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in commercial building surveying (construction surveys, NCC compliance).
• Strong knowledge of NCC and relevant Australian Standards.
• Registration as a Building Surveyor preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, proactive and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Conduct commercial building code assessments and inspections.
• Provide NCC and regulatory compliance advice.
• Prepare reports and review documentation.

The Role
