Job summary

Stone Recruitment is helping an established wholesale distributor in Sydney search for a Commercial Analyst to join the team. The role combines FP&A with pricing and tender analysis, reporting to the CFO, and turning data into actionable commercial recommendations.

Based in Southwest Sydney, the role is full-time and onsite, offering direct CFO exposure and growth within a collaborative environment that values practical ideas and accountability.

Qualifications

• Wholesale/distribution experience with 4+ years in relevant analysis.
• Advanced Claude or similar AI skills for commercial data analysis.
• Strong Excel, pricing, modelling and FP&A capability.
• Excellent communication and ability to build stakeholder trust.
• Degree in accounting, commerce, economics or similar; CA/CPA not required.

Responsibilities

• Run pricing simulations for tenders, quotes and annual reviews.
• Analyse margins, costs and rebates; recommend commercial action.
• Coordinate rolling forecasts, budgets and stakeholder inputs.
• Support three-way forecasts and investment business cases.
• Use AI and ERP data to explain performance and guide decisions.

About the role

Reporting to the CFO, combine FP&A with pricing and tender analysis. Turn data into recommendations, coordinate forecasts and partner with sales leaders. Permanent and full time, based in Southwest Sydney.
