Job summary

Charter Mercantile Pty Ltd – Redcliffe QLD is seeking a Collections Officer to deliver vital Financial Hardship support for a major Australian bank. No prior experience is required and full bank-certified online training is provided.

You will contact customers, negotiate payment plans, document interactions, and escalate high-risk accounts while complying with policies and regulations. The role offers full-time hours and a supportive training environment.

As a Collections Officer at Charter Mercantile, you will deliver vital Financial Hardship assistance on behalf of a major Australian bank. No prior experience is required.

You will receive comprehensive, bank-certified online training designed to equip you for a rewarding in the banking and collection agency sectors.

What you'll be doing

• Contacting customers to follow up on late or outstanding payments
• Negotiating and arranging suitable payment plans with customers
• Documenting all customer interactions and payment arrangements
• Identifying and escalating high-risk accounts to management
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
