Job summary

JBS Australia is recruiting a Cold Stores Operator to join the Beef City Plant team. The role involves moving, storing and preparing products in a temperature-sensitive environment, with full-time hours (38.75 per week) and optional overtime on Saturdays.

Job description

JBS Australia's currently recruiting reliable Cold Stores Operators to join our Beef City Plant team. As a Cold Stores Operator, you will play a hands-on role with moving, storing and preparing JBS products in a temperature sensitive environment.

Full-time; Monday to Friday; 38.75 hours per week

Optional overtime on Saturdays (where available)

Entry level roles start at $1,032 per week + a shift allowance for afternoon and night shift

About You

• Willingness to work in a position that involves manual handling, container loading and unloading, cold storage and warehousing
• Previous labouring experience not required; all necessary training will be provided
• Willingness to participate in a well-developed team environment from general labouring to highly skilled key positions
• Ability to comply with, and contribute to, our highly developed WHS, Quality Assurance and Training programs
• Access to reliable transport to travel safely to and from work
• Willingness to receive a Q Fever vaccination

Located 35km west of Toowoomba, the JBS Beef City Plant is part of the Beef City integrated feedlot, processing and farming facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality - one of only two in southern hemisphere. Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 900 employees with a current processing capacity of 1,100 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers.
