Job summary

Visy Queensland is hiring for Cold End Operator/Technician (Multiple roles) to join our glass production site at Yatala. You will operate and maintain automated equipment across the cold end/packaging area, ensuring products meet quality standards and production targets.

Starting rate from AUD 40 per hour with overtime and shift allowances, plus full training through the Visy Training Academy. Roles feature 8-hour shifts with two consecutive weekends off every five weeks, and a clear pathway for

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated equipment (annealing lehrs, inspection machines, transport, and packing systems).

• Conduct visual and automated inspections for defects.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and process issues.
• Support continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and quality metrics.

Cold End Operator/Technician (Multiple roles)

About the Opportunity:

Our new glass factory in Yatala is our largest investment to date. It will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland glass each year to produce 1 billion bottles. With advanced machinery and control systems, we ensure efficient, high-quality production. Located next to our box and can plants, the site will form a beverage container precinct, supporting customers and creating new job opportunities.

What you will do:

Within the Cold end/Packaging area, roles will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production, quality and inspection/packaging processes.

Roles involve operating and maintaining automated machinery and systems, ensuring that glass products meet quality standards and production targets.

Rotating Shift: consists of 8-hour shifts and includes two consecutive weekends off every five weeks.

Full Training provided through the Visy Training Academy

Starting rate from $40 per hour (Plus OT and Shift Allowance) onwards

In these roles you will:
