Job summary

EnerMech in Australia is seeking a Coded or 1st Class Welder for upcoming shutdowns, turnaround, and maintenance projects across mining, mineral processing, port, and heavy industrial sites in the Gladstone region. You will perform high-quality welding on fixed plant equipment.

Essential qualifications include Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator trade, current welding qualifications, Australian working rights, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Boilermaker or Metal Fabricator or equivalent.
• Current welding qualifications and/or coding certifications.
• Australian working rights and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform coded welding on structural steel, piping, pressure equipment, and fixed plant assets.
• Carry out maintenance, repair, and fabrication during shutdown periods.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld procedures, and specifications.
• Work to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Complete defect repairs and modifications as required.
• Collaborate with boilermakers, mechanical crews, supervisors, and QA/QC personnel.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity.
• Support project teams to meet shutdown schedules and milestones.
