Job summary

Civmec's Gladstone Maintenance division is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team in Queensland. You will perform maintenance shutdowns and project works, applying welding techniques and interpreting fabrication drawings to ensure high-quality workmanship on refinery assets.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years shutdown/site experience, Australian Recognised Trade Certificate, and construction White Card.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years shutdown/site experience.
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate and Construction White Card required.
• Desirable: Work Safely at Heights, Enter and Work in Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance shutdowns and project works.
• Apply welding techniques including FCAW and MMAW.
• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings.
• Mark out steel components per fabrication drawings and specs.
• Comply with Quality Control systems and processes.
• Maintain knowledge of Australian Welding Standards.
• Ensure work meets specifications and standards.
• Conduct welding across day and night shifts as required.
• Support shutdown teams throughout project duration.
• Maintain safe work practices across refinery operations.
• Identify and address fabrication or welding defects.
• Provide quality workmanship on refinery assets.
