Job summary

St Francis College in Crestmead (south of Brisbane) is seeking a dedicated Program Leader (Activities & Events) to coordinate cocurricular programs and school events that enrich student life. The role sits within Brisbane Catholic Education and aligns with the school’s values, engaging teachers, students, families and community partners.

You will lead the program, supervise staff, manage budgets and resources, and drive partnerships while modelling best practice in learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work within Australia for the period of appointment.
• Be a committed, practicing Catholic, or in an ecumenical school, a committed, practicing member of one of the faith traditions represented in that ecumenical school.
• Experience in school leadership, or a role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading academic, cultural, outreach, or sporting programs.
• Proven ability to supervise and support teaching staff across a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the designated program in the school.
• Supervise teachers engaged in the program throughout the school.
• Induct new teachers within the program (or supervise the induction where it is undertaken by another experienced teacher).
• Monitor program outcomes for students and address areas of concern through appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate the work of staff engaged in delivering the designated program in the light of the values and ethos of the school.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders (students, parents, school staff and other personnel) to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
• Organise program activities including resources, transport, operations, staff, etc.
• Keep abreast of best practice in the program area through on-going professional reading and research and providing for the professional learning of staff in line with these developments.
• Contribute to the leadership of the school through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Manage financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.
