Job summary

Oxworks is seeking a CNC Operator in Brisbane to manage day-to-day CNC tasks, producing high-quality products in a productive, safe environment.

You will aim for 100% DIFOT, minimize reworks, and drive cost efficiencies by following SOPs. Proficiency with AutoCAD and ToolShop and the ability to read mechanical drawings are essential, along with a current driver's license.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in CNC operations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD and ToolShop programs.
• Current Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day CNC department activities producing high quality products.
• Achieve 100% DIFOT while minimising reworks.
• Improve efficiency and reduce operating costs through SOPs.
• Coach and train new team members as needed by the CNC Team Leader.
• Promote teamwork across manufacturing to exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure safety compliance and policy adherence in all CNC activities.
• Execute directives aligning with the business strategy.

Oxworks is Australia's largest privately owned manufacturer and distributor of quality fencing products with over 300 staff across 22 locations nationally. Operating for over 20 years, we continue to be a market leader in the industry.

We are seeing an individual with experience in or exposure to a similar industry as a CNC Operator. This role is Full-Time Mon-Fri + any overtime required.

The Role:

Reporting to the CNC Team Leader, the CNC Operator’s primary focus is to:

• Complete the day-to-day activities of the CNC department focusing on producing high quality products in a productive, efficient and safe manner
• Achieve 100% DIFOT whilst minimising unnecessary reworks
• \Improve efficiency and reduce operating costs through accountability to standard operating procedures
• Provide coaching and training for new team members as requested by the CNC Team Leader
• Promote teamwork between the manufacturing departments to ensure all are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements in Safety
• Ensure CNC is always compliant with Company policies and procedures
• Execute directives that support the business strategy

In summary, the CNC Operator is a key person in the CNC department and is responsible for producing high-quality product in a productive, efficient and safe manner.

What You Need:

• Demonstrated experience in CNC operations
• Computer savvy with knowledge of AutoCAD and ToolShop programs
• Experience and knowledge to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Current Driver’s License
