Job summary

Abcor Pty Ltd in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs is seeking a mechanical engineering technician with expertise in CAD/CAM software to generate CNC machining programs for production. The role is a full‑time permanent position in a dynamic team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or higher in engineering and at least five years of experience, with proficiency in Mastercam, Delcam Powermill and Solidworks, plus hands-on CNC machine tool operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in engineering or equivalent or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Delcam Powermill, Solidworks.
• Experience with CNC machine tools like milling machines, lathes and wire cut EDM machines.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings and specifications using CAD/CAM software.
• Transfer CAM programs to CNC machine tools.
• Validate parts as they are manufactured.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during development and production.
