Job summary

Broken Hill Base Hospital & Health Services invites an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Intensive Care Unit on a three-month contract commencing November 2026. Based in Broken Hill, NSW, the role focuses on specialist ICU practice and supporting acute care services.

The CNS will bring Critical Care Outreach Team experience, provide clinical leadership, and support ICU staff in high-acuity settings within the regional health service.

Qualifications

• Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Post-graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing preferred.
• ALS certification or equivalent critical care credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide CNS-level ICU clinical practice with emphasis on outreach and patient support.
• Lead and support ICU staff in high-acuity environments.
• Support regional acute care services through Critical Care Outreach activities.

• Current registration with AHPRA and relevant ICU certifications
