Job summary

Coffey Testing is seeking motivated individuals to start a career as a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician across Western Sydney locations. You will train in our Laboratory and on-site at major projects, learning to test soils, aggregates and concrete while recording results and ensuring quality under safety guidelines.

As you gain experience, opportunities grow to manage testing programs, operate across multiple sites and progress toward senior technical or leadership roles.

Qualifications

• No formal degree required; entry-level technician position with on-site/lab training.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in construction materials testing processes.
• Ability to follow test methods and quality requirements with attention to safety integrity.

Responsibilities

• Travel to project sites to perform field testing and sampling.
• Conduct tests on soils, aggregates, concrete and related materials.
• Record results accurately and report tests using Geotester platforms.
• Work with site supervisors, engineers and project teams to ensure compliance with specs.
