Talent Corp in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a CMDB & IT Asset Management Analyst to own the accuracy of CMDB, asset records, and ITIL-aligned processes within a complex enterprise environment.

The role is hands-on and requires experience in CMDB administration, IT asset lifecycles, data quality, and reporting. You will collaborate with technical teams, customers, and suppliers to maintain configuration information across the lifecycle.

Formación

• 2+ years in ITIL Configuration Management, CMDB administration or IT Asset Management.
• Hands-on CMDB records maintenance and CI management.
• Understanding of asset lifecycles and ITIL processes.
• Experience with data quality, reporting, reconciliation and audits.
• Strong Excel, Word and Visio skills.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and update CMDB records, CIs and IT asset registers.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity of configuration and asset data.
• Manage hardware and software asset records, including licenses.
• Conduct CMDB audits, data validation and reconciliation.
• Support Configuration Management processes per ITIL.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CMDB & IT Asset Management Analyst to join a well-established IT Service Management team based in Sydney.
This is a hands-on operational role focused on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), managing IT asset records, supporting configuration audits and driving continual service improvement.
You will work closely with technical teams, customers and suppliers to ensure IT infrastructure and assets are accurately recorded, tracked and managed throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update CMDB records, Configuration Items (CIs) and IT asset registers.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity of configuration and asset data.
• Manage hardware and software asset records, including licences and supporting documentation.
• Conduct CMDB audits, data validation and reconciliation activities.
• Support Configuration Management processes in accordance with ITIL best practices.
• Produce CMDB health reports, asset inventories, KPIs and compliance documentation.
• Identify data quality issues and support continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers and suppliers to maintain accurate configuration information.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years' experience in ITIL Configuration Management, CMDB administration or IT Asset Management within a medium-to-large IT environment.
• Hands-on experience maintaining CMDB records and managing Configuration Items (CIs).
• Sound understanding of IT asset lifecycles, configuration management and ITIL processes.
• Experience with CMDB data quality, reporting, reconciliation and audits.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.
• ITIL Foundation certification (v3 or later).
• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT Management, Business Management or a related field.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, CMDB, Discovery or Service Mapping.
• Experience with BMC or other IT Service Management platforms.
• Exposure to Power BI, SCOM, Nagios or ScienceLogic.
• Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or SIAM environment.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, including Azure, AWS or GCP.
