Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to act as a technical lead for cloud infrastructure initiatives. You will guide architecture, implement automation, and ensure security and compliance across AWS environments.

You will migrate and deploy applications with CloudFormation and Terraform, monitor systems with CloudWatch and Splunk, and mentor offshore delivery teams while collaborating with stakeholders to drive reliable cloud services and improvements.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in AWS cloud environments, ideally in a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead capacity.
Experience migrating and deploying applications using CloudFormation and Terraform, incl. troubleshooting.
One or more AWS industry certifications.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Experience using Copilot, DevOps Agent, Splunk, CloudWatch, and native tools to triage problems.
Ability to influence stakeholders and provide expert tech guidance across teams.
Experience mentoring teams and collaborating with offshore delivery partners.
Self-motivated, proactive, able to work autonomously within a collaborative team.

Lead major incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives
Provide technical leadership during troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex cloud-related issues
