Job summary

CyberCX Australia is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead complex cloud security engagements for our clients, delivering high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision. You will coach junior staff, coordinate with Customer Sales, Solutions and Marketing teams, and contribute to capability building, innovation, and process improvements while applying best practices in cloud security and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience building and operating AWS Landing Zones/Control Tower.
• Proficient with IaC tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps toolchains and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Docker, ECS, EKS and container orchestration.
• Ability to operate in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience migrating workloads to AWS or VMware Cloud on AWS.
• Solid networking and cloud connectivity understanding.
• Security clearance NV1 or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements in cloud security, including planning, governance, risk and delivery management.
• Prepare and present high-quality deliverables (written or verbal).
• Coach junior staff to deliver engagement outcomes.
• Support internal R&D, capability building and process improvements.

Reporting to the Managing Consultant, the Senior Consultant is responsible for engaging with customers to solve their most challenging cloud and security problems, protect their future, and empower them to thrive in an uncertain world. The Senior Consultant is an experienced cloud infrastructure professional capable of leading client meetings and producing high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision.

Day to day you will:

• Lead complex and dynamic client engagements in cloud security. Core responsibilities may entail but are not limited to engagement planning, stakeholder management, engagement governance, risk management, delivery management and quality assurance.
• Prepare and present high-quality deliverables (written or verbal). For example, findings and recommendations report.
• Manage and coach junior staff to deliver engagement outcomes.
• Under the guidance of more senior team members, provide assistance to internal research and development, capability building, innovation and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of customer relationships through direct customer support and working with Customer Sales, Customer Solutions and Marketing teams to support relevant activities

• 4+ years experience working with AWS.
• Experience in building / operating AWS Landing Zones / Control Tower.
• Proficient in IaC (Cloud Formation / CDK / Terraform).
• Experience with DevSecOps toolchain.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, ECS, and EKS.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience in migrating workloads to AWS and / or VMC on AWS.
• Solid experience working with Unix / Windows workloads.
• Solid understanding of networking and cloud connectivity.
• Experience in VMware or VMware Cloud technologies desirable.
• Direct experience with exposure to cloud security principles and practices.
• Holding AGSVA NV1 Clearance or ability to obtain and retain clearance is mandatory.
