Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to help customers optimize architectures and run mission-critical applications across AWS products. This role focuses on databases technologies including RDS variants and migration services.

You'll handle complex issues, mentor teammates, and contribute to training while collaborating with global engineers to improve tooling and processes. The role emphasizes customer success and deep troubleshooting expertise in cloud

Qualifications

• Administration experience with one of: SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB or Amazon Aurora.
• Experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Windows Server services (Active Directory).
• Experience with networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, LAN/WAN).

Responsibilities

• Solve customer cases via telephone, email, and live chat with advanced troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Mentor new hires and contribute to training materials.
• Write tools and scripts to improve team efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvements and strategic initiatives.
