Job summary

Sportsbet Pty Ltd is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to enhance the security of its AWS and developer ecosystem. You will build automated security capabilities across vulnerability management, detection engineering, incident response, IAM, and network security.

You will enable development teams with guardrails, partner with Cyber and Technology teams, and drive secure delivery at scale through automation and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Proven development experience with Python and writing automated tests.
• Experience with AWS and ability to design, deploy scalable and secure applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and core internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP).
• Experience in cloud security domains such as vulnerability management, incident response, detection engineering or IAM.
• Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills; tertiary IT qualifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build automated security products and solutions across AWS and the developer ecosystem.
• Enable development teams to embed security principles, guardrails and best practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Partner with Cyber teams to understand threat landscape and strengthen security capabilities.
• Guide security-focused decisions and risk mitigations while addressing emerging cloud security threats.
• Champion self-service, automation, and DevOps practices for secure delivery at scale.
